China and Egypt regard each other as reliable friends and sincerepartners. Egypt is the first Arab and African country to establish diplomaticrelations with the People’s Republic of China. In 2014 , President Xi Jinpingand President Sisi decided to upgrade China-Egypt relations to a Comprehensive StrategicPartnership, drawing a new pattern for cooperation between the two countries. InJanuary 2016, President Xi Jinping visited Egypt and added impetus to bilateralcooperation onto the fast track. In April 2019 , President Xi Jinping met withPresident Sisi in the second “Belt and Road”InternationalCooperation Summit Forum, delineating a new direction for deepening economiccooperation in various fields under the B&R framework. In 2020 whenCOVID-19 was wreaking havoc across the world , under the strong leadership ofthe two heads of state, China and Egypt have joined hands in fighting theepidemic, standing in the same boat through storms, and helping each other in asincere way. We have been upholding the banner of a community with a sharedfuture for mankind with practical actions.
In recent years, China-Egypt economic cooperation develops rapidly. Anumber of major cooperation projects have been implemented one after another withmany highlights. More and more Chinese-funded enterprises have shown greatinterest in the Egyptian market and regard Egypt as the best choice forinvestment and business in this region. The demand for economic informationrelated to Egypt continues to grow. The Economic and Commercial Office of the ChineseEmbassy in Egypt is willing to use this website as a window to provide usefulinformation and services to the economic communities of China and Egypt,promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation, enhance mutual understanding,expand the integration of interests, and create a better tomorrow for theeconomic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
